We approach transportation planning and urban design projects by identifying opportunities to create a sense of place. While all of our master planning and urban design projects address transportation related issues, we also have specific experience in the planning and design of transportation hubs such as train stations, turnpike services plazas, airports, and ferry terminals. As architects, Zyscovich brings an intimate knowledge of constructability and viability to the design process and can help to ensure that the final design can be realized on budget.
The experience of the firm and the “track record” of our award-winning projects attests to the operational understanding of layout and programming. These projects have reinforced our relationships with and knowledge of the local transportation agencies and their approval processes such as Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Miami-Dade Transit Department, Tri-Rail South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA), and Miami-Dade and Broward County Aviation Departments. More importantly, as transportation planners and designers, we understand the importance of moving goods and people and the design issues that impact site and station design considerations, such as pedestrian movement and intermodal tie-ins.
