The Edge

West Palm Beach, FL

The Edge is a two-tower waterfront condominium in West Palm Beach. Zyscovich designed the interiors of both towers’ lobbies, complex’s amenities, and all other common areas in addition to the interior finishes for the residential units. Each tower lobby includes a ‘living room’ and ‘den’ to give these public spaces the feel of comfort and intimacy. The living room areas feature formal seating compositions while the “dens” are defined by curved walls outfitted with wide screen interactive screens on which residents can create colorful works of temporary art. The two areas are connected by a vestibule whose floor repeats the pattern of the tropically-colored lobby carpet. Mirrored columns reflect the marigold yellow furnishings. The amenities program comprises a clubroom, located adjacent to the pool, that has a lounge with fireplace and an outdoor “cyber café” with bar and widescreen TV.  In all other common areas, Zyscovich selected finishes, flooring and lighting. Wireless, high-speed Internet access is integrated throughout the towers.

The elegance of the residences is derived from Zyscovich’s design of  sleek kitchens with polished wood cabinetry and stainless steel appliances, 10-foot ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling glass doors. Also included in the interiors package is pre-wiring for entertainment and Internet access, water/skyline views from terraces and balconies and state-of-the-art, interactive controlled access entry systems.
