ME by Meliá Hotel

Miami, FL

Zyscovich Architects was hired by CGI Merchant Group as the architect for its first, signature boutique hotel in the United States, ME Miami. Part of the ME by Meliá brand, Meliá Hotels International's ME Miami will be located in one of the trendiest neighborhoods in South Florida along Biscayne Boulevard in downtown Miami. On the other side of the boulevard, just steps away from the hotel, is Museum Park. Hotel guests will be able to easily stroll to the park and enjoy the Perez Art Museum and the future Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science. This once often overlooked stretch of land will now become a highly desirable destination spot. Our vision is to bring a taste of the unique flavor of the ME brand to this very special downtown Miami location, between Museum Park and the Performing Arts Center.

Zyscovich Architects is transforming the existing hotel and townhouse areas of the building to accommodate the new ME by Meliá hotel concept that is centered on urban chic. ME Miami will boast 129 rooms, two rooftop pools, a restaurant named STK Rebel, and more than 5,000 SF of renovated space that will be converted into new dynamic dining, event spaces, including a lavish spa. The firm is also redesigning and reconfiguring the drop-off from Biscayne Boulevard, the lobby entry, concierge and ground-level terrace. Reconfiguration of the existing three-story townhouses and spa will result in an additional 75 hotel rooms. The existing restaurant area at the third level will be transformed into the hotel check-in, lobby, bar, and meeting rooms with movable partitions. Common areas on level four are being transformed into a new spa treatment center and hotel offices.
