Zyscovich Architects in partnership with Sauer Construction and TransSystems has begun construction of the renovation and expansion of the Mayport Naval Station Fitness Center.  The Fitness Center project includes a new 50 meter indoor swimming pool with 2 movable bulkheads, and SAR Training area; 2 indoor multi-purpose basketball courts, 2 indoor racketball courts; a spin room; full locker facilities; showers; steamroom, and sauna.  The facility also includes a child care facility.  The project is projected for LEED Silver certification.
