One designer’s trash is another one’s creation, as featured here in Zyscovich’s 2006 submission to the Festival of Trees, an annual event where architects and designers produce exhibits using simple materials. Using cardboard tubes, this tree, complete with a nativity star beaming from within, signifies the twinkling lights leading the way for the Three Wise Men. Coordinated by the Interior Design Board at Florida International University, all proceeds benefit student scholarships and a design lecture series at the School of Architecture. Zyscovich was sponsored by Trend USA.
