Firm Will Oversee Interior Design Work for Both First-to-Market Locations

MIAMI – (March 24, 2009) – Hot on the heels of its 2008 International Interior Design Association “Best Hospitality Project” award for work on Miami’s CinéBistro, Zyscovich Architects now is at the helm of interior design for CinéBistro locations in Vail, Colo. and Atlanta. The nationally renowned firm with offices in Miami, New York City and Orlando is currently working on interior concepts for each location, both of which will introduce the CinéBistro brand to its respective state.

CinéBistro, a division of Birmingham, Ala.-based Cobb Theaters, offers movie-goers the finest cinema experience combined with innovative cuisine. In addition to its delectable menu, CinéBistro features an exceptional assortment of wines and premium cocktails enhanced by a cutting edge ambiance. Each new location is uniquely designed for its community while adhering to the growing brand.

“We are very excited to be helping introduce this unique movie theater concept to the Vail and Atlanta markets,” said Anabella Smith, Principal and Director of Interior Design for Zyscovich Architects. “We’re working hand-in-hand with Cobb Theatres to develop a design that supports the brand yet reflects the distinct character of each community.”

Smith continues, “Our ultimate goal is to create a fully integrated, sophisticated design that provides guests with an experience they can’t find elsewhere. We believe moviegoers in each city will be very pleased with the outcome.”

After a four-year absence of movie theaters in the area, CinéBistro will reintroduce, as well as redefine, the movie going experience in the Vail community. The 12,500-square-foot venue will be located in Vail Village as part of Solaris, a 2.63 acre mixed-use development just steps from Vail Mountain. Interiors will feature three designated theaters, each with a different theme, a dining room that seats 60, as well as outdoor dining, to create an elegant and eclectic atmosphere. CinéBistro Vail is scheduled to open in 2010.

CinéBistro Atlanta, also currently under development, is scheduled to open in 2010 as well. It will encompass 30,158 square feet of theatre and dining space, uniquely designed to fit the wants and whims of the Atlanta community.

“Our innovative CinéBistro concept creates a sophisticated, contemporary environment where patrons can mingle and enjoy gourmet food and drink while watching great films,” says Cobb Theatres COO Jeremy Welman. “The interior design is a key component of each location and in accomplishing our objectives.”
